Flat Stomach Diet

Changing Your Position on Nutrition

Along with consistent and copious exercise, it is important to be conscious about your diet when trying to obtain or maintain a flat stomach and rock hard abs. Most people are generally concerned about the kinds of foods that they intake when trying to stay on a healthy diet. However, there are two other things that you should be concerned about when trying to stick to consistent eating habits.

Firstly, you need to be concerned about when you eat during the course of the day and secondly, how you are eating. By sticking to this behavior, your metabolism should increase in no time at all and you will be sporting that flat stomach that you have craved for so long.

The human body is constantly in need of vitamins and minerals. Humans obtain these vital assets to a healthy lifestyle through the consumption of carbohydrates, fats and proteins so it is essential that you keep close tabs on your intake of these three substances when trying to diet properly. There are several ideas to keep in mind when trying to plan an eating schedule that works not only for you, but for your diet.

Starting with how many meals you intake during the day, cutting back on the size and increasing the number of meals that you eat will help stabilize and increase your metabolism. So in saying that, shoot for eating around FIVE meals a day that are significantly smaller in size than the average THREE meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) that most people eat over the course of the day. These habits will force you not to snack throughout the day and will keep you full for its duration so you can stick to your flat stomach diet. You will definitely want to consult a nutritionist and your doctor before making dietary changes, however for an example of an eating plan, try this:

8:00 AM

Breakfast

10:30 AM

Morning Snack

12:30 PM

Lunch

3:30 PM

Evening Snack

6:00 PM

Dinner

There are several other things you might want to consider when choosing an appropriate diet to get that flat stomach. Getting a good amount of healthy substances from your foods is important. For vitamins and minerals eat a lot of fruits and vegetables, for carbs try from a selection of dairy products or grains. However, keep in mind that you will want to avoid foods such as white bread, fries (or any potatoes for that matter), and other low value carbs. Instead try to eat whole grain bread and other healthier alternatives. Also eating and drinking low fat or non-fat dairy products as a part of your flat stomach diet will help you on your way to a flat stomach.

Another key is to drink a lot of water over the course of the day. I like to drink water throughout the day, but typically 6-8 cups a day is enough to keep you hydrated.

Choosing where you eat is also a decision that will factor greatly into your diet. Eliminate eating while walking to class or work. Try to stick to a schedule where you sit down and are conscious about what you are eating. Also, try not to eat smaller portions and avoid overeating. Avoid shopping when you are hungry, this can help you avoid nutritional mistakes and buy healthier foods which are essential to a successful flat stomach diet.

If you don’t or can’t prepare your food on a daily basis, try your best to be smart about where you eat. Try to look for healthier menu options and avoid fast food whenever possible.

Try recording your eating habits, you may find some peculiar things you weren’t aware of, plus, you will be able to track your dieting progress.

Having a healthy diet is very necessary to get that flat stomach so always be aware of what foods you are eating, when you are eating them and how you are doing so. It is important to choose foods that compliment your exercising and you would do well sticking to a schedule and recording your progress on the scale. Talk to your doctor or nutritionist, come up with a plan, and stick to it!
